Haryana govt to give gas subsidy of 500 rupees direclty in the bank account women head of the family holders. this launched on 12th august 2024 due to rakhi festival.

Objectives of Har Ghar Grahani Yojana

  • Under the scheme, gas cylinders will be provided to women at low cost.
  • Gas cylinder will be provided to women of the state for Rs 500. 
  • The state government will spend Rs 1500 crore every year for the scheme.
  • If the price of the cylinder is above Rs 500, the additional money will be sent directly to the beneficiary’s bank account. 
  • Under the Har Ghar Grahini Yojana, the government will benefit approximately 50 lakh women. 

Eligibility for every household plan

 

  • The applicant woman should belong to a BPL family.
  • No member in the woman’s family should be an income tax payer.
  • Beneficiaries getting benefits under Ujjwala Yojana will be added under this scheme. 
  • Consumers of all companies like Bharat Gas, Indane or HP will be eligible to apply for the scheme.
